In a significant development for Gambian football, four promising players—Bakary Jatta of BST Galaxy FC, Jesus Gomez of Falcons FC, and Real de Banjul duo Sarjo Fofana and Sulayman Faye—have completed moves to Czech side Dukla Prague, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.

The transfers mark another important step in the growing pathway between Gambian clubs and European football, highlighting the country’s reputation as a rising hub for young talent.

Bakary Jatta and Jesus Gomez have both joined Dukla Prague on one-year loan deals with options to make their moves permanent. Their arrivals are expected to strengthen the club’s attacking options while offering the players a valuable opportunity to develop in a competitive European environment.

Meanwhile, Sarjo Fofana and Sulayman Faye are reportedly set to complete permanent transfers from Real de Banjul, signaling the Czech club’s long-term investment in Gambian prospects. Notably, Fofana has already been listed within Dukla Prague’s setup, underlining the club’s integration of young foreign talents into its system.

Dukla Prague, a historic club in Czech football, has increasingly focused on recruiting emerging players from Africa as part of its development strategy. The inclusion of these four Gambian players reflects a broader trend of European clubs scouting in West Africa, where academies and local leagues continue to produce technically gifted and physically dynamic footballers.

For BST Galaxy, Falcons FC, and Real de Banjul, these transfers represent both recognition of their developmental work and an opportunity to strengthen international ties.

More importantly, for the players themselves, the move to Europe offers a platform to showcase their abilities on a bigger stage, with the potential to progress into top-tier European competitions.
