Nigerian forward Muhamed Tijani has put himself firmly on the radar of Hungarian clubs following a productive loan stint in the country’s top flight, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

With his loan deal with Nyíregyháza Spartacus winding down, Tijani is set to return to Slavia Prague, but the question now is whether that stay will be brief.

His performances have attracted interest from several Hungarian clubs, including Nyíregyháza themselves, who are reportedly keen to keep him beyond the loan. The sticking point is money. Slavia are holding out for around €300,000 and want a permanent deal, not another loan. That price tag may give some clubs pause, though Tijani still has two years left on his contract in Prague.

Top-flight side Ferencvaros have now entered the picture, looking to bolster their squad ahead of the next campaign. According to a source close to the player’s camp at Diamond Sports, who represent Tijani, a concrete offer from Ferencvaros is already on the table.

“I can confirm that Ferencvaros has expressed interest in Tijani, and a deal is very possible if the two clubs can agree on his valuation, and that’s really the main issue right now,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.

“Slavia want to sell him outright this summer, not loan him out again, which is why talks have been moving slowly. Debreceni and MTK (Budapest) have also shown interest but haven’t made formal inquiries yet. Personally, I think he will leave Slavia this summer, even with two years still left on his deal,” the source added.

Tijani joined Nyíregyháza Spartacus on loan in January from Czech side Slavia Prague, and it turned out to be his most productive campaign in years.

The 25-year-old scored eight goals and contributed three assists in just 14 appearances, the kind of numbers that tend to get people talking.
