Fulham vs Arsenal Match Preview

Fulham head into the clash with the Gunners looking to end a two-game losing streak in the league. Despite taking the lead on both occasions, they went on to lose by 3-1 to both Aston Villa and Bournemouth, which has left them lying in 14th-place in the league standings after seven matches.

However, the Cottagers’ have a formidable home record this season, winning two and recording one draw in three games so far at the Craven Cottage.

Arsenal, on the other hand, moved to the summit of the standings in the previous match-day following a convincing 2-0 win over struggling West Ham United.

The Gunners have won five of their six matches this season, dropping points only in the 1-0 defeat at Liverpool and in a 1-1 draw against Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s men have finished second in three consecutive league seasons and will be eyeing a shot at finally ending their league-drought this season.

Recent Form: Fulham

Fulham have lost their last two matches, but were previously unbeaten in nine games out of ten in all competitions. They are also yet to lose at home in the league this season, picking up seven points from a possible nine.

The Cottagers have only managed to keep three clean sheets in nine matches in all competitions this season, although all three have been at their home ground.

Recent Form: Arsenal

Arsenal have been quite impressive, winning eight of their 10 matches in all competitions this season, while they also kept seven clean sheets in that run.

The Gunners also have a solid record on their road trips, losing only one of their last 14 away matches in the league.

Player to Watch: Alex Iwobi (Fulham)

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has proven to be one of the best players in the Fulham squad overtime and will be key if they are to get a result against Arsenal.

The 29-year-old will be eyeing a repeat of his player-of-the-match performance in Fulham’s last home game against Brentford, with another inspiring display against the Gunners.
