Ghanaian international central defender Jonas Adjetey is expected to join Galatasaray on a permanent move in the coming days, as per Africafoot.

The Turkish club has reportedly made an offer of €10 million for the highly promising back. A five-year contract with a salary increase is being discussed.

While the transfer window has closed in most major European leagues, the market in Turkey continues. Turkish clubs, which have until September 9 to make their final purchases, are very active.

The 21-year-old is currently under contract with FC Basel until June 2028.

According to the report, Galatasaray’s Director of Professional Football Ayhan Akman has contacted FC Basel management to finalize the deal for Adjetey.

While he was in Brentford’s sights a few weeks ago, the Turkish giants are reportedly on the verge of landing the defender.

Brilliant in duels, he is highly effective in his clearances. This season, he has already played four matches as a starter for FC Basel in the Swiss Super League. Having previously played for Chelsea, the Accra native is a solid defensive force.

His current Transfermarkt value is estimated at €8 million.
