Ghanaian defender Nurudeen Abdulai is attracting interest from clubs in England and other parts of Europe following an impressive season with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic, Footy-Africa understands.
A source close to the player has revealed to Footy-Africa that the 22-year-old centre-back has emerged on the radar of several clubs ahead of the January transfer window, with interest coming from both the English top flight and the Championship.
Abdulai has been in excellent form since joining Dunfermline from Ghanaian Premier League side Medeama SC in 2025, signing a three-year contract with the Scottish club.
His performances have continued to attract attention, with his latest contribution coming over the weekend when he found the net against Inverness CT in the Scottish Championship. The Ghanaian was also named Player of the Match after an impressive display.
His consistency at the back, coupled with his growing contribution in attack, has strengthened his reputation as one of the promising young defenders in the Scottish Championship.
According to Transfermarkt, Abdulai has an estimated market value of €175,000. However, Dunfermline could demand a significantly higher fee given his rapid rise in European football and the growing interest in his services. The defender has two years remaining on his contract with the Scottish club.
Dunfermline are pushing for promotion this season after narrowly missing out on the opportunity last term, making Abdulai’s performances an important part of their campaign.
