Ghanaian defender Kingsley Gyamfi believes his long-term future lies with Swedish top-tier side Osters IF, following his decision to sign a three-year contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, currently valued at €300,000 by Transfermarkt, initially joined from Hammarby on a short-term loan. However, after a string of impressive performances, he has now sealed a permanent move.
In an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa, Gyamfi explained why he chose Osters IF over other options.
“Yeah, many clubs were interested in me, but I chose to stay because I really like it here and I will be getting more playing time, which will help my future career,” Gyamfi said.
“I chose Osters because it’s one of the best upcoming clubs in Sweden, and I can see my future at this club. My target is to help the team reach the top level in Allsvenskan and maybe win the league,” he added.
Gyamfi has made eight appearances in the Swedish top flight this year. He began his football journey with Ghana-based Zilina Africa before moving to Hammarby in Sweden.
