Scottish Premiership Side Hibernian are set to sign Nigerian youngster Hassan Olaniyi from Shuffle Select Football Academy, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The 18-year-old forward has spent few weeks on trial at the Scottish Premiership club’s training ground and has impressed coaching staff with his performances.
A source close to the deal Bolaji Bale confirmed to Footy-Africa that Hibernian officials are satisfied with the player’s progress and have moved to secure his signature.
He stated that Olaniyi is expected to link up initially with the club’s youth side as he continues his development.
Developed at Shuffle Select Football Academy, the winger is comfortable operating on the right flank, where he often cuts inside onto his stronger left foot to create goal-scoring opportunities and stretch opposing defences.
The teenager is also noted for his tactical awareness, defensive work rate and adaptability, qualities that have contributed to his positive impression during the trial period.
