Swedish high-fliers Hammarby IF have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Imran Musa from Beyond Limits Academy, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The youngster arrives in Stockholm following a standout campaign in his homeland, where he played a pivotal role in securing the just concluded Creative League championship for the Ikenne-based side.
Imran, who netted 15 goals during his tenure with Beyond Limits, has put pen to paper on an initial short-term contract which includes an option for an extension at the conclusion of the season.
‘High ceiling’
The move marks another successful export for the Beyond Limits Academy, and head coach Olumide Ajibade believes the winger possesses the physical and technical attributes required to flourish in the Allsvenskan.
“We are very happy with the development of our players. We take pride in how much progress they make,” Ajibade told Footy-Africa.
“As a player, he has excellent 1v1 qualities. He’s a winger. He shoots very decently. He has goals. He’s brave. He works very hard off the ball also, so his defensive transition behavior is also very good.”
While Imran arrives with a burgeoning reputation as a goalscorer, his former coach insists there is still plenty of room for growth.
“Overall, I think there’s still a lot more for him to improve, but he’s got a high ceiling in front of him. So, he’s got good speed, can shoot with both feet.”

Pushing the limits
Hammarby currently sit second in the Swedish top flight, and Imran’s arrival adds further depth to their attacking options as they chase the title.
Despite the step up in competition, Ajibade has urged the youngster to maintain the work ethic that earned him the move to Europe.
“My message to Imran and to all of them is that they continue to try to be better every day,” Ajibade added. “Strive to be better players, better people, and never settle for less. Never settle where you are, continue to push your limits,” he concluded.
