Nigerian youngster Abdullahi Umar in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has expressed his delight after making his senior debut for FC Hradec Králové in their final Chance Liga game of the season against AC Sparta Prague.
Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, Umar described the moment as a dream come true after months of hard work and patience.
“I have been dreaming about this moment for a long time, to play in this league, and I am very happy that it has finally happened for me,” Umar said. “It has not been easy, but I have kept working hard and taking my time. Patience is very important in football and I am glad that my patience has paid off.”
“With the minutes I played for the main team, I believe I will get more opportunities and the chance to show what I can do here. The coaches have been very supportive and I believe this team can achieve a lot next season. Above all, I give thanks to Allah for everything that has happened in my career so far.”
The 19-year-old forward joined the Czech side during the January transfer window and initially linked up with the club’s U-19 team, where he quickly caught attention with his impressive performances and eye for goal.

Umar was widely expected to make the step up to the senior team earlier in the season, but despite the delay, he remained focused and continued delivering in front of goal for the youth side.
The Nigerian striker finished the campaign as the leading scorer in the U-19 league with an outstanding 25 goals, a return that has already attracted interest from several clubs monitoring his development.
With the season drawing to a close, Hradec Králové handed the teenager his first-team debut as part of plans to integrate him fully into the senior squad ahead of next season.
Umar ends the season with 28 appearances across all levels for the club, scoring 25 goals in 27 U19 matches while also making his first appearance in the Czech top flight.
