Italian side Pisa are interested in signing Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on a permanent deal following his impressive loan spell from Inter Milan, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The 21-year-old joined Pisa on loan from the former Italian champions and has caught the attention of the club’s hierarchy with a series of assured performances since his arrival.

Pisa president Giuseppe Corrado has confirmed the club’s desire to keep the midfielder beyond the current campaign.
“Akinsanmiro is a strong player. He belongs to Inter Milan, but we have the right to buy him,” Corrado said. “Inter also have the option to buy him back, but he is a player we believe has found the ideal place to grow at Pisa. We would like to have him.”
However, sources have exclusively told Footy-Africa that while Pisa are keen to complete a permanent move, Inter Milan are unlikely to sanction the departure of the highly rated midfielder.
Inter view Akinsanmiro as a player for the future and could reject any attempt by Pisa to sign the player on a permanently deal.
Akinsanmiro joined Inter’s academy in 2023 from Nigerian side Beyond Limits and has made steady progress, although he is yet to establish himself in the Nerazzurri’s senior team.
He spent last season on loan at Sampdoria in Serie B and signed a contract extension before moving to Pisa in the summer, where he has since become a key performer.

His strong form for Alberto Gilardino’s side has also earned him a call-up to Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
