Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has agreed to rejoin Norwich City for a second stint after impressing during his trial, sources have told Footy-Africa.
Schlupp was initially announced among the players leaving Norwich at the end of last season, but an agreement has now been reached for him to return to the Championship club.
Norwich coach Philippe Clement was impressed by the 33-year-old’s fitness and performances during his trial and has sanctioned a new deal for the experienced Ghanaian.
Sources reveal Schlupp has agreed a one-year contract, with the remaining details now being finalised before the transfer is officially completed.
Schlupp initially joined the Canaries as a free agent in July 2025 after leaving Crystal Palace, where he spent eight years. However, a serious hamstring injury suffered in November disrupted his season and limited him to just nine Championship appearances before Norwich confirmed his departure.
Before returning for the trial, Schlupp spent part of last season on loan at Celtic, making 13 league appearances for the Scottish champions.
His return to Norwich will give him another opportunity to continue his career in the Championship after proving his fitness to Clement.
Schlupp was part of the Leicester City squad that famously won the Premier League title in 2016.
