Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo is closing in on a move to Libyan side Al-Swehly after receiving a two-year contract offer worth around $10 million, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The former Real Oviedo star has already travelled to Egypt, where Al-Swehly are holding their pre-season camp, as talks over the proposed move enter a decisive stage.
Sibo is expected to meet officials of the club and learn more about their project before making a final decision on his future.
The midfielder is currently a free agent after parting ways with Spanish side Real Oviedo, for whom he made 27 appearances last season.
He has also attracted interest from several clubs, including Egyptian giants Al Ahly, while he came close to joining Turkish Süper Lig side Gençlerbirliği before the move failed to materialise.
However, none of the alternatives has matched the financial terms presented by Al-Swehly.

The proposed $10 million package over two years would make Sibo one of the highest-paid Ghanaian footballers if the transfer is completed.
Sibo also represented Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in four matches. He now has 12 senior international caps.
His performances at the World Cup, particularly against England, further strengthened his position in the transfer market.
With talks progressing and Sibo already in Egypt, Al-Swehly are increasingly confident of securing his signature.
