Man City vs Ipswich match preview

Manchester City enter the clash as the only club remaining with a 100% record in the league this season. The Cityzens have won every of their first six games, scoring 16 times which is the second highest number in the league, and they have only conceded five times, which is also the joint lowest alongside Arsenal, Brighton, Leeds United and Everton.

Despite the departure of several key players, as well as head coach Pep Guardiola in the summer, Man City have barely taken a step wrong and Enzo Maresca has guided them to a brilliant start. They also recorded a superb 3-0 win over Liverpool in their last outing as well.

Ipswich Town, on the other hand, have also enjoyed a decent start to the league season after earning promotion back to the top flight. The Tractor Boys finished second in the Championship last season behind Coventry and have already won three of their six games so far, recording three losses as well. They enter this clash on the back of a very impressive 2-1 comeback win over Fulham and are now 10th in the standings.

Five African footballers to watch in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League season

The Ghanaian forward has enjoyed a good start to the season and will be hoping to continue that form when they face Ipswich.

Antoine Semenyo’s pace and runs into the box from the left wing would provide Manchester City with a form of threat in the clash.
