Recently, Mjällby rejected a €3.5 million bid from Turkish Süper Lig side İstanbul Başakşehir for Abdoulie Manneh, signalling their strong desire to retain the 22-year-old or to hold out for a higher valuation Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm. The rejection speaks volumes about Manneh’s rising stature and Mjällby’s firm stance in the market.

Rising star Manneh of Swedish side Mjällby AIF continues to draw increasing attention from top European clubs following a string of impressive performances in the Allsvenskan. With his current market value estimated at €1.5 million, the Gambian winger has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Scandinavian football, with several notable clubs circling.

Among the most serious suitors is Turkish giant Fenerbahçe, who are expected to make an official offer by the end of next week. The club has reportedly expressed strong interest and is currently in the final stages of offloading a foreign player to Saudi Arabia to make room for Manneh. Talks with Fenerbahçe are ongoing, and sources suggest a formal approach is imminent once their squad space opens up.

The Premier League is also watching closely. Wolverhampton Wanderers have maintained interest and are expected to enter the bidding process at a later stage. Similarly, Belgian outfit Anderlecht is tracking the situation and is preparing a potential move.

Brentford FC of the English Premier League has reached out to understand the terms surrounding a potential deal. While no offer has been tabled yet, their inquiry indicates early-stage interest that could evolve depending on how the market shifts.

Meanwhile, Bundesliga side Mainz 05, previously linked with Manneh, appears to have cooled interest—at least for now. No recent communication has been reported from the German club in over a week, leaving their intentions uncertain.

Abdoulie Manneh’s rapid rise, electric pace, and creativity on the wing have made him one of the most sought-after young talents in the Nordic region. With multiple clubs circling and interest heating up, Mjällby AIF may soon face increasing pressure to sell—or risk missing out on a significant transfer fee.
As the summer window progresses, all eyes will be on Manneh to see where his next chapter unfolds.
