Ghanaian defender Mohammed Adams has secured a new chapter in his career after completing a move to Israeli second-tier outfit Hapoel Afula ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 25-year-old centre-back has joined the Liga Leumit club from Hapoel Ramat Gan, where he spent the previous two seasons and played an important role in the side’s successful promotion campaign to the Israeli Premier League.
Adams now turns his attention to a fresh challenge at Afula, with the club confirming that the Ghanaian has signed a deal running until the end of the season.
“Welcome Adams. The 25-year-old Ghanaian defender signed with the club until the end of the season through his agent Yinon Butiba. Adams, one of the leading defenders in the national team for the past two years, arrives after two seasons with Hapoel Ramat Gan, who recently played a significant role in the team’s promotion to the Premier League,” posted the club on their official social media pages.
Known for his physical approach, defensive aggression and ability to compete in demanding duels, Adams arrives at Afula with considerable experience of Israeli football and will be expected to bring stability and leadership to the backline.

The defender is equally enthusiastic about the move and believes the new environment can provide him with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the club’s ambitions.
“I am happy to sign with Hapoel Afula, I have only heard good things about the club and the team, I believe in myself and my ability to help the team reach its goals this season,” said the Ghanaian.
Adams began his professional journey in Ghana with Liberty Professionals before embarking on an overseas career that has taken him across several European leagues.
His CV includes spells with Finnish clubs FC Honka and ROPS, followed by a stint in Portugal with SC Covilha.
Having established himself in Israeli football over the past two seasons, Adams will now look to make his mark at Hapoel Afula as the club prepares for the new campaign.
