Scottish Premiership side Motherwell are preparing to make a major move for Nigerian-Scottish forward Eseosa Sule, with plans to secure him on a permanent four-year contract before the end of the 2025/26 season, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The 19-year-old attacker joined Motherwell on loan from West Bromwich Albion in the summer, after signing a fresh two-year deal with the English Championship side. Despite interest from Premier League clubs such as Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Fulham, Sule opted to stay tied to the Baggies, with the temporary switch to Fir Park aimed at gaining regular senior minutes.

Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, an exclusive source at InMotion Sports Agency revealed that Motherwell have expressed interest to secure the youngster permanently, with a four-year deal on the cards.

β€œHe (Eseosa) has just joined, but they (Motherwell) are excited, and they see him as a would-be enormous project for the future. They want to submit their offer and see if West Brom can accept it for the January transfer window. It’s early stages, bit it’s a possibility that they can accept with the right offer,” the source exclusively disclosed to Footy-Africa.

Last season, Sule scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 29 matches for West Brom U21s, underlining his attacking pedigree.

Eligible for both Nigeria and Scotland, he remains uncapped at senior level but is tipped for future international recognition. He has so far played thrice for Motherwell.
