Gambian defender Musa Jatta is on the verge of sealing a permanent move to Swedish club Östers IF, with Finnish side AC Oulu having reached an agreement on transfer terms, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The deal is now subject to a successful medical, which is scheduled to be completed in the coming week.

Jatta, who joined AC Oulu from Slovakian side FK Železiarbe Podbrevova after rising through the ranks at BST Galaxy FC becoming their first professional export, has been an important figure in Oulu’s defence this season. The centre-back featured in 13 league matches, earning 10 starts and accumulating a total of 968 minutes on the pitch—averaging at least 76 minutes per appearance. His consistency and defensive discipline made him a reliable option at the heart of the backline.

In addition to his defensive duties, Jatta also contributed offensively, scoring once during the league campaign. His performances have evidently caught the attention of Östers IF, who are keen to bolster their squad with a commanding and experienced defender as they push forward with their ambitions.

The anticipated move to Sweden represents a significant step in Jatta’s career, offering him a new challenge in a competitive league and an opportunity to continue his development at a higher level.

Should the medical be completed without issues, the transfer will be finalized, marking another milestone for the former BST Galaxy FC man as he continues his upward trajectory in European football.

All eyes will now be on the coming days as Musa Jatta prepares to undergo his medical and complete his switch from Finland to Sweden.
