Gambian youngster Musa Njie has returned to The Gambia following the conclusion of his two-week trial with Swedish outfit Östers IF, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The 18-year-old forward, who plays for BST Galaxy FC, was invited to Sweden last month to showcase his talent, and reports suggest he made a strong impression on the technical staff of the Superettan side.

Promising Gambian Njie moves to Sweden for a trial with Östers IF

According to exclusive Footy-Africa’s information, Östers IF are now engaged in discussions with BST Galaxy FC regarding a potential permanent transfer for Njie. The talks are said to be at an early but positive stage, with both parties keen on reaching an agreement.

“Sure, they really like him,” a source close to the player confirmed, highlighting the Swedish club’s admiration for the youngster’s abilities during his stint abroad.

Njie’s potential move would mark a significant step in his budding career, as he looks to join the growing list of Gambian players making their mark in Scandinavian football. His technical quality, energy, and attacking flair are believed to be the attributes that caught the eye of Östers IF during his trial.

For BST Galaxy FC, a transfer would not only underline the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent but also serve as a proud milestone in their contribution to Gambian football development.

As negotiations continue, fans and observers will be watching closely to see if Musa Njie’s promising journey takes him to Sweden on a permanent basis.
