The 18-year-old arrives from BST Galaxy FC, a club known for nurturing promising talents in The Gambia. Njie has already touched down in Sweden and successfully passed his medical examination, clearing the final hurdle before the official announcement of his transfer.
Njie’s move comes after a fruitful initial engagement with Östers IF earlier this year. He first joined the club on trial in August 2025, where he immediately caught the attention of the technical team. His exceptional work rate, confidence on the ball, and maturity beyond his age were evident throughout the training sessions, showcasing his potential to thrive in European football.

His anticipated move to the Allsvenskan will not only offer him exposure in one of Scandinavia’s top leagues but will also serve as inspiration for many young talents in The Gambia aspiring to break into professional football abroad.
