Strasbourg have joined Burnley and Trabzonspor in the race to sign Ghanaian defender Kojo Oppong Peprah, with OGC Nice valuing the centre-back at €10 million a source close to the player has told Footy-Africa.
The Ligue 1 side are open to listening to offers for the 22-year-old, but only if their valuation is met after an impressive breakthrough campaign in France.
Footy-Africa understands Strasbourg are the latest club to enquire about Oppong Peprah’s availability. Burnley have also made contact, although discussions have yet to progress, while Turkish side Trabzonspor remain the most concrete suitors at this stage.
Nice signed the Ghana international from Swedish side IFK Norrköping in July 2025 for a base fee of €2.5 million, and his value has risen significantly after an outstanding first season in Ligue 1.
Oppong Peprah made 31 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign and also featured in European competition, establishing himself as one of Nice’s most consistent defenders.
Sources also told Footy-Africa that the player’s representatives have informed Nice that any potential transfer must first receive the player’s approval before a bid is accepted.
The defender’s stock was further boosted by his inclusion in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he made an appearance against England in Boston.
Nice are under no pressure to sell, believing Oppong Peprah remains one of the club’s most valuable young assets, but interest is expected to intensify before the transfer window closes.
