After a standout season in the Bulgarian Parva League with FC Arda Kardzhali, Nigerian striker Offor Chinonso has agreed personal terms with Russian Premier League side FC Rostov, Footy Africa has exclusively learned from sources, close to the player.
Both clubs are currently in negotiations to finalize the transfer fee, with personal terms already settled between the player and FC Rostov.
This move follows a failed transfer attempt in January to Ukrainian side FC LNZ Cherkasy, which collapsed due to the club’s inability to meet Arda Kardzhali’s financial demands for the Nigerian forward.
With personal terms now in place, both clubs are in advanced talks to complete the transfer, with FC Rostov keen to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker ahead of the new season.
In his first season in the Bulgarian Parva League, Offor made a strong impact for FC Arda Kardzhali, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in 29 appearances. His performances helped the club secure a spot in the UEFA Conference League group stage qualifiers for next season.
The well-travelled forward has previously played for clubs including BFC Daugavpils, FC RFS, Chicago Fire FC, CF Montréal, and Zulte Waregem.
