Despite the persistent interest of the African clubs, Nigerian defensive midfielder Ambrose Ochigbo decided to extend his stay in the Gulf by signing with Qatari side Al-Khor SC, the club confirmed.
Last season the 19-year-old player spent on a loan at Al Kholood in Saudi Arabia, registering six games in the Saudi Pro League.
“We are pleased to announce the official signing of Ambrose Ochigbo to strengthen the ranks of the first team,” the announcement says.

According to Africafoot report, Ochigbo previously turned down offers from two Tunisian clubs, despite advanced verbal agreements. Qatari club’s representatives managed to persuade the young player to move to the Al Khor Stadium.
The Nigerian defensive midfielder continues to arouse the interest of recruiters from the Middle East thanks to his promising profile. After signing with a new club, Ochigbo is to prove he already matured enough to play on the high level.
Trained in Tunisia at ES Zarzis, before attempting his first experience in the Gulf with Al Kholood, Ochigbo showed multiple signs of his bright future and consistent game, despite his young age.
His Transfermarkt value is currently estimated at €150.000.
