Omar Jarju is on the verge of securing a season-long loan move to Danish 2nd division side Brabrand IF from AC Horsens, with the deal expected to be officially announced on Monday, Footy-Africa can confirm.
After a season largely spent on the sidelines, this loan move offers the 21-year-old midfielder a vital opportunity to regain match fitness and make a fresh start in his career.
Crucial step in Omar Jarju’s recovery
Jarju, who has spent most of the previous season sidelined due to injury, is eager to regain his sharpness and rediscover the form that saw him earn attention from top clubs in the past. Having been out for the better part of the season, regular match action is exactly what he needs to bring himself back up to the level required for the senior squad at AC Horsens.
“Omar needs playing time. He’s had a tough time recovering from injury, and a season in a competitive league like the Danish 2nd division will give him the platform to prove himself again,” said his agent, Bakary Bojang, in the exclusive interview with Footy-Africa.
The loan move is seen as the best solution to help Omar get back to his best, while also allowing him to play competitive football at a high standard.

No loan fee, but full responsibility on Horsens
Interestingly, there is no loan fee involved in the deal between AC Horsens and Brabrand IF. However, AC Horsens will remain responsible for covering all costs associated with the loan arrangement. Despite the loan, Jarju will continue to be part of the Horsens family. His agent confirmed that Omar will still be attached to the club and will have the opportunity to train with the first team or with the U19 side when needed.
“Omar will have access to all of Horsens’ facilities. He will continue his development under the guidance of the club’s coaching staff while getting regular competitive minutes at Brabrand,” Bojang explained.
This arrangement allows the young midfielder to stay connected with the club that he hopes to return to in the future, while gaining valuable experience on the field.
Fresh start with Brabrand IF
For Brabrand IF, the loan of Jarju is a significant acquisition. The club, competing in Denmark’s second tier, will benefit from his skills and potential as they look to make an impact in the division. The move is also a step in the right direction for Jarju’s personal development. Playing in a highly competitive league will help him regain the match fitness, confidence, and sharpness required to play at a top level.
For Jarju, it’s an opportunity to prove himself not just as a player, but as a young talent capable of overcoming adversity. The competitive nature of the Danish 2nd division will provide him with the challenges he needs to grow as a footballer. Whether he returns to AC Horsens after the season or continues his career elsewhere, this loan move is a critical chapter in his journey.
