Ghanaian winger Owusu Kwabena is close to returning to Qarabag FK from Azerbaijan as he became a free agent in July since his contract with Hungarian side Ferencváros had ended, according to information from Africafoot.
After several departures this summer, the Azerbaijani champions are also banking on returns. The Ghanaian attacker, who left the club in June 2022, is in advanced discussions regarding his return.
The talks, which began several days ago, have reportedly already resulted in a number of points being agreed upon. Barring a reversal of fortune, Kwabena is expected to sign a two-year contract, running until June 2027.
Last season, Kwabena played 16 matches in all competitions with Ankaragücü (Turkey), where he was on a loan, scoring nine goals.
His current Transfermarkt value is estimated at €400,000.
