Ugandan midfielder Allan Oyirwoth has completed a loan switch from Major League Soccer outfit New England Revolution to Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic, where he will continue his development for the remainder of the season.
The move sees the Uganda Cranes international leave the United States for his first spell in Scottish football, with Dunfermline securing the promising midfielder on a deal running until May 31, 2027.
According to The Blazing Musket, the agreement also includes an option for the Scottish club to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan.
Oyirwoth has spent the current campaign with New England Revolution II, making 15 appearances and finding the net once as he continued to impress in MLS NEXT Pro.
The 20-year-old has also broken into the club’s senior team, featuring three times for the Revolution, while his performances have earned him three senior international caps with the Uganda Cranes.
The loan is expected to provide Oyirwoth with regular first-team football as he looks to accelerate his development in one of Europe’s competitive leagues while keeping his place in the Uganda national team setup.
