Paris FC vs Nantes Match Preview

Paris FC sealed a return to the top-flight after a long absence at the end of last season. However, they have began their first top-flight campaign in 46 years in mixed form. They have won three of their seven league games so far, losing four times and recording one draw.

Les Blues were defeated in their last match, narrowly losing 2-1 to Lens in a feisty clash to remain in 11th place on the standings with 10 points.

Nantes, meanwhile, have started the 2025/26 season in disappointing fashion, having recorded a single victory all season. They are locked in a four-team relegation battle, with just six points accrued from their first eight league games.

Their only league win so far was a 1-0 result against fellow strugglers Auxerre in August. In their last outing, Les Canaris were defeated 2-0 at home by Lille.

The two last matches between both sides have seen each team record one victory apiece.

However, Paris FC claimed the bragging rights in the last encounter when both sides clashed in preseason friendly action in August.

Recent Form: Paris FC

Paris FC have been inconsistent throughout the campaign, with three wins from their eight league games so far. Two of those wins have come in front of their home fans, highlighting their good home record.

Les Blues have also impressively scored in their last seven matches, since failing to find the back of the net in their league opening 1-0 defeat at Angers.

Recent Form: Nantes

Nantes are on a poor form of run, although they have only lost once in their last four matches. However, they have just a single victory from eight games this season.

Les Canaris have also failed to score in five of their eight matches, keeping just two clean sheets in that run.

Player to Watch: Moses Simon (Paris FC)

Super Eagles forward Moses Simon faces his former side in fine form, having already contributed two goals and two assists in the league this season.

His dribbling skills and frequent deliveries into the box provide an attacking threat for his team, and he is also very effective from set-pieces.
