Uganda U-20 international Ryan Figo Kizito is on the verge of completing a move to Tunisian powerhouse CS Sfaxien, with the talented midfielder already having flown out to finalize the transfer, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The highly-rated Police FC midfielder is expected to sign a three-year contract with the nine-time Tunisian champions, bringing an end to speculation that had linked him with Uganda Premier League rivals SC Villa and KCCA FC.
Kizito has earned a reputation as one of the country’s most exciting young midfielders following his impressive displays for Police FC, where his composure on the ball, vision and ability to dictate play attracted attention from clubs both at home and abroad.
Rather than remaining in the Uganda Premier League, the youngster is now set for the next chapter of his career in North Africa, where he will join one of Tunisia’s most decorated clubs.
His arrival at CS Sfaxien will also see him become the third Ugandan currently at the club, linking up with fellow countrymen Travis Mutyaba and Hakim Mutebi.
The move represents another significant step in Kizito’s development, with the midfielder expected to test himself in one of Africa’s most competitive football environments while continuing his progress on the international stage.
An official announcement is expected once the remaining formalities are completed and the player puts pen to paper on his three-year contract.
