Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban is considering his options as Sampdoria emerge as one of the clubs interested in signing the free agent, Footy-Africa can reveal.
The 32-year-old is assessing his next move after leaving Genoa at the end of last season, with several clubs pushing to secure his services before the transfer window closes.
Sampdoria are looking to strengthen their attack and have identified Ekuban as one of their options. The Serie B club are also considering Venezia striker Andrea Adorante, but his availability remains uncertain due to his current injury situation.
Ekuban’s versatility is understood to be one of the reasons behind Sampdoria’s interest. The Ghanaian can operate as a centre-forward while also playing in wider attacking positions.

A move to Sampdoria would see Ekuban remain in Genoa, where he spent five seasons with Genoa before becoming a free agent this summer. He made 128 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists.
Ekuban is, however, taking his time to evaluate the different projects available to him. Lecce, Monza, Padova and Modena have also been linked with the Ghanaian as he weighs his options.
Interest from abroad has also been registered, meaning Sampdoria will face competition if they decide to step up their pursuit.
With the transfer window approaching its final hours, Ekuban’s decision is expected soon as he looks for the right project for the next stage of his career.
