Sevilla vs Mallorca Match Preview

Sevilla head into the clash in fine form, having won consecutive matches in the league for the first time this season. They built on their 1-0 away win at Rayo Vallecano on match-day seven with a stunning 4-1 victory over champions Barcelona in the previous round.

Los Rojiblancos have bounced back from a poor start to the season and have won four of their eight games this season, placing them in six position and just two points behind fourth-placed Real Betis, as they continue their push for a return to the European stage.

Mallorca, meanwhile, have struggled to build on their 10th-placed finish last season and are currently rooted to the bottom of the La Liga standings. They have won only one of their eight matches, but are just three points behind Valencia in 15th.

Los Piratas have also lost all of their four matches on the road this season, with their only win this season coming at home, a 1-0 win over Alaves.

Recent Form: Sevilla

Sevilla have improved in recent outings and have only lost one of their last six matches, bouncing back from a slow start which saw them lose their first two league matches.

Los Rojiblancos’ home form is unimpressive, with only one win from four matches this season and twice in the league this year.

Recent Form: Mallorca

Mallorca are on a poor run of form and have lost five of their eight matches this season, winning just once.

Los Piratas have lost all four on the road and have only kept one clean sheet away from home in their last eight away league matches dating back to last season.

Player to Watch: Akor Adams (Sevilla)

Nigerian forward Akor Adams has been on sensational form and has scored in his last two appearances for Sevilla.

The young forward will be eyeing a more important role against Mallorca and could cause problems with his blistering pace and impressive link up with teammates.

Best Betting Odds

Home (Sevilla) to Win or Draw – 1.25 (via 1xBet)

Prediction

Sevilla boast a strong home record against Mallorca, and that dominance is expected to continue, given the visitors poor form this season.
