Swedish side IF Brommapojkarna’s new signing Bidemi Amole has been tipped as one of the next big talents to emerge from Nigeria following his recent loan move to the club.
The 18-year-old winger joined from Nigerian outfit Real Sapphire FC on deadline day, with the deal structured as an initial loan that could become permanent depending on his performances and other agreed conditions.
Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, a source at Real Sapphire, who is familiar with the deal that took Amole to Sweden, expressed confidence in the player’s potential and explained how the move materialised.
“Amole’s career has been on an upward trajectory, and he has been a shining light for Real Sapphire, which attracted significant interest from clubs abroad,” the source said. “Since his stint with the Flying Eagles, he has gone on several trials in Europe. He trained with Brøndby IF in Denmark, while there was also interest from Belgian sides Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Anderlecht.”
No agreement reached yet as Atalanta track Nigerian prospect Bidemi Amole
“A few weeks ago, Atalanta also made enquiries about him, but that move did not materialise. Still, we strongly believe he has the potential to reach the very top. He is a humble player who is ready to work hard and continue learning. I believe this move is the best step for his development. At 18, he needs the right environment to settle and grow without too much pressure.”
“In the coming years, he will be a player everyone will be talking about, as long as he remains focused and keeps working hard,” the source concluded.
A former Flying Eagles star, Amole was one of the standout performers in Nigeria’s last U-20 setup.
After a series of trials abroad, the highly rated youngster has now settled for a move to Brommapojkarna as he looks to take the next step in his career.
There were strong rumours linking him with a move to Atalanta BC, while he also spent time training with Djurgårdens IF.
The Creative Championship (TCC) product first caught widespread attention in Nigeria with his performances in the league, where he helped his side to the title last year. He has continued that form this season, registering nine goals.
