Polish champions Lech Poznań have strengthened their defensive ranks with the acquisition of Ghana international Terry Yegbe, completing the centre-back’s permanent transfer from French side FC Metz for an undisclosed fee.
The commanding defender has committed his future to the Ekstraklasa giants by signing a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2030, as Lech continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Confirming the deal, the club said:
“Lech Poznań’s next summer signing has become a fact. On Wednesday afternoon, center-back Terry Yegbe officially joined the club on a permanent transfer from French club FC Metz. The 25-year-old Ghanaian international has signed a four-year contract with the Polish champions, which runs until June 30, 2030.”
Yegbe arrives in Poland following FC Metz’s relegation from the French top flight at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, bringing with him valuable experience from two of Europe’s competitive leagues.
The Ghanaian successfully completed his medical examinations earlier this week before putting pen to paper on his long-term contract. He is now expected to report for pre-season training with the reigning Polish champions next month as preparations intensify for the upcoming campaign.

His move comes just a year after joining Metz from Swedish outfit Elfsborg, where his impressive performances earned him widespread recognition and paved the way for a switch to France.
Despite Metz’s difficult campaign, Yegbe remained a dependable figure at the heart of the defence, featuring in 24 league matches and contributing one assist while further enhancing his growing reputation on the European stage.
The transfer marks another significant step in the Black Stars defender’s career, with Lech Poznan banking on his physical presence, composure, and defensive quality as they prepare to defend their domestic crown and compete in European football next season.
