After just one season with Ethiopian side Welwalo Adigrat University FC, Ugandan international Fahad Aziz Bayo is set to be a new player at North Macedonian topflight outfit FK Vardar, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Bayo joined Welwalo Adigrat last season after his release by Czech Republic second division side MFK Vyskov at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign. He’s now set for a return to Europe.
The 27-year-old is currently in his native Uganda, with his agency Lumasa Sports Agency, concluding the final touches of a two-year switch to FK Vardar. A source close to the player has disclosed that the North Macedonian side could unveil the player before the end of the week.
“There have been talks in North Macedonia with FK Vardar and two years have been tabled. There’s an agreement with the player on personal terms, and it shouldn’t be too long before he joins them, as their season has already started. They want to induct him into the set-up immediately,” the exclusive source told Footy-Africa.
