Footy-Africa can exclusively report that Wolverhampton Wanderers remain in discussions with Nigerian club Sporting Lagos over a potential deal for teenage midfielder Solomon Adabo.
The 16-year-old, who has impressed for Sporting Lagos and Nigeria’s Under-17 side, has been on Wolves’ radar for several months.
Adabo travelled to England in January for a trial at Molineux, where he trained with both Wolves’ Under-18 and Under-21 squads.
Despite reports suggesting a transfer had already been agreed, sources have disclosed to Footy-Africa that negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing and no deal has yet been finalised as the player is back inย Nigeria.
Footy-Africa also gathered that teenager is also understood to be attracting interest from clubs in Spain, Belgium, Germany and France.
Sporting Lagos are assessing the options available before making a decision, with the club keen to identify the development pathway they believe is best for the player.
