Man United vs Tottenham Hotspur match preview

Manchester United head into the clash on the back of three successive league wins since the arrival of caretaker manager Michael Carrick. The Red Devils were winless in their first two league games of the season, but have now won the past three to move into fourth place on the standings, five points behind Aston Villa in third place.

During this period, they recorded impressive wins over Manchester City and Arsenal, before sealing a hard-fought 3-2 win over Fulham in their last-match, scoring the winner in stoppage-time through Benjamin Sesko.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, head into the clash on the back of an impressive 2-2 draw against Manchester City in their last outing when they had to come back from a two-goal deficit.

Spurs are winless in the league this year, recording four draws and two defeats, while the two matches they have won in 2026 have come in the UEFA Champions League, defeating Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt by 2-0 scorelines.

Player to watch: Bryan Mbeumo (Man United)

The Manchester United forward has two goals in his last three matches since returning from the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament. Bryan Mbeumo will trouble the Tottenham defence with his pace and threat from counterattacking positions.
