Hugely rated Kenyan youngster and midfielder Aldrine Kibet is on the verge of completing a dream move to Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo, with his medical scheduled for Tuesday, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The attacking midfielder currently features for Nastic Soccer Academy in Tarragona, Spain where he has experienced a meteoric rise since joining them in 2023 from Kenya’s schools football giants St. Anthony Boys School, Kitale.

Meanwhile, after scouting the teenager for months at Nastic Soccer Academy, Celta Vigo opened talks, before an agreement was reached over the weekend. At Celta Vigo, the 19-year-old will sign a long-term five-year contract.

In an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa a source close to Kibet’s family in Kenya revealed that Celta Vigo have been in contact since May. The source further confirmed that his family is set to travel to Spain on Monday, before his Tuesday medical tests and subsequent signing. The fee for the talented youngster is set to rise to up to €7 million.

“Celta Vigo made inquiries with an unbelievable offer to both the player (Kibet), and Nastic Soccer Academy, with close to €7 million discussed. The agreement is in place and his family will travel to Spain on Monday and the medicals slated for Tuesday. The rise has been incredible, yet we all believe this is just the start of the rise of one of Africa’s biggest prospects,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.

Meanwhile, Kibet, regarded as one of the finest emerging Kenyan talents, has featured for the country at the various youth levels, including the U-15, U-17, U-18, U-20 and the U-23 team. He has yet to receive a summon to the senior team, the Harambee Stars.
