Following the expiry of contract at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) topflight side Al-Wasl months back, Nigerian striker Isaac Success is on the verge of securing his next move, following direct talks with Tunisia top-flight outfit Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The 29-year-old left Al-Wasl in January by mutual consent, and has since been a free agent. Esperance made contact with the versed forward on Wednesday and tabled a two-year employment contract, with the option for an additional year.

In an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa, a source close to the player has confirmed that the talks between the parties are moving smoothly. The source further underlined that the discussions currently hinge on how much Success demands as salary.

β€œThe club (Esperance) made initial direct contact with Success on Wednesday, and they have since been moving well. They want to sign him on an initial two-year contract with an option for one more year. He is also keen on the move, but what’s holding the deal at this point is his demands as salary. The talks will continue throughout the weekend,” the source exclusively revealed to Footy-Africa.

At Al-Wasl last season, Success made three appearances in the Asian Champions League Elite, as he scored one goal. Besides Al-Wasl has previously featured for Italian side Udinese, Malaga and Granada in the Spain La Liga, as well as English side Watford.

Meanwhile, at the international stage, he has represented Nigeria at the U17, U20, U23 and the senior national team, The Super Eagles. With the latter, he had played four games, and has yet to score a goal.
