Gambian forward Ebrima Singhateh has completed his transfer to Czech giants AC Sparta Prague from fellow Czech Premier Liga side FK Jablonec after both clubs reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of the player, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The 22-year-old cut short his holiday to return to the Czech Republic and finalise the move, with his medical examination and contract signing scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Singhateh’s rise has been remarkable. The former SK Slavia Prague striker only joined FK Jablonec in February from MFK Karviná for an undisclosed fee. Despite spending just a few months at the club, he impressed enough in only 11 appearances to attract the interest of one of the country’s biggest teams.
Singhateh set for Sparta Prague move as permanent transfer nears
The deal has now been finalized, with Singhateh set to sign a four-year contract at Sparta Prague. The move represents a significant step forward in his career, providing him with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of Czech football and potentially on the European stage.
Sparta Prague are preparing for the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds next season, and the club views Singhateh as an important addition to strengthen their attacking options ahead of a demanding domestic and continental campaign.
For the young Gambian international, the transfer is a reward for his rapid progress and impressive performances since arriving in the Czech top flight.
