Gambian attacker Ebrima Singhateh is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Czech giants Sparta Praha from FK Jablonec after agreeing personal terms with the club, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Negotiations between the two clubs are understood to be progressing positively, with a final agreement expected to be reached soon.
Sources close to the deal indicate that the club-to-club discussions are not anticipated to present any significant obstacles.
The 22-year-old joined Jablonec from fellow Czech top-flight side MFK Karviná in February 2026 and quickly became an influential figure within the team. Despite arriving midway through the season, Singhateh adapted rapidly and established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.
In 13 league starts, the Gambian forward scored three goals and provided three assists, while his underlying performance data reflected a player whose impact extended well beyond direct goal contributions. His creativity, movement, and ability to influence attacking play earned praise throughout the second half of the campaign.
Ebrima Singhateh attracts interest from England, Ukraine and Czech Republic
Singhateh’s performances did not go unnoticed, attracting interest from clubs across Europe. English League One side Stockport County and Ukrainian Premier League outfit LNZ Cherkasy were both reported to be monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, Sparta Praha have moved decisively to secure the services of the promising Gambian international, viewing him as a player capable of strengthening their attacking options for both domestic and European competitions.
Should the transfer be finalized, the move would represent another significant step in Singhateh’s rapidly progressing career and provide him with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of Czech and European football.
