Spanish giants Real Madrid have shown interest in Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.

The 19-year-old FC Nordsjaelland star has emerged as one of Europe’s brightest young midfield talents following an impressive rise in Denmark. Yirenkyi, a product of the Right to Dream Academy, has grown rapidly at Nordsjaelland, where Ghana legend Michael Essien works as assistant coach.

Sources close to the situation have told Footy-Africa that Real Madrid made contact through Essien as they continue to monitor the midfielder’s development.

Nordsjaelland currently value Yirenkyi at around €30 million, underlining how highly the Danish club rate the Ghana international.

The midfielder’s reputation has continued to grow after he recently scored his first-ever goal for the Black Stars in Ghana’s friendly against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium. Yirenkyi came off the bench and struck in the 66th minute, further strengthening his case as one of Ghana’s most exciting prospects.

Real Madrid are known for their aggressive recruitment of elite young talents across the world, and Yirenkyi is now understood to be on their radar as they assess midfield options for the future.

The Ghanaian has previously attracted interest from clubs in England, but Madrid’s admiration marks a significant development in his fast-rising career.

Five Ghanaian footballers poised for moves during the summer transfer window

For now, Nordsjaelland are not under pressure to sell, but with Yirenkyi’s stock rising quickly, the coming transfer windows could prove decisive for the future of one of Ghana’s most promising young players.
