Nigerian midfielder Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku is close to completing a permanent transfer to Swedish side IFK Göteborg, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The Triple 44 Football Academy player is currently in Sweden after productive discussions between his academy and the Allsvenskan club, with the deal expected to be finalised in the coming days.
IFK Göteborg have maintained a long-standing interest in the Nigerian youth international, who first travelled to Sweden in 2025 for an assessment period.

During that visit, Olowoporoku featured in a number of test matches, including Göteborg’s 2-0 defeat by Norwegian side Lillestrøm SK, before returning to Nigeria.
The midfielder had also attracted interest from elsewhere in Sweden’s top flight as well as Spanish club Real Betis.
However, Triple 44 Football Academy are understood to have honoured an earlier commitment made to IFK Göteborg regarding the player’s future.
Olowoporoku was seen training with the Swedish club on Tuesday, further fuelling expectations that the transfer is nearing completion.
His arrival would add to the growing number of Triple 44 Football Academy graduates currently playing in the Swedish top division.
The academy’s influence in Sweden was underlined in May when former graduates Ibrahim Adewale and Ozor Okeke faced each other in an Allsvenskan fixture.
