Gambian midfielder Saidou Khan has agreed a deal to join one of Tunisia’s biggest clubs, Club Africain, following the expiration of his contract with English League Two side Swindon Town, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The 28-year-old is expected to travel to Tunisia this Saturday to undergo a medical, which would finalise his switch to the 13-time Tunisian league champions. The move comes after Khan’s contract at Swindon Town ended earlier this summer, allowing him to make the move as a free agent.

More updates are expected following his medical in Tunisia this weekend.

With a current market value of €100,000, Khan brings both experience and dynamism to the midfield. Known for his energy, tackling, and ability to drive forward with the ball, Khan had been a key figure at Swindon since joining in 2022. Over two seasons, he made over 70 appearances for the club and became a fan favourite thanks to his hard-working style and leadership on the pitch.

Gambian International Midfielder Saidou Khan in Talks with Club Africain Tunis

This move marks the first time Khan will be playing outside of the UK, and it represents a significant step in his career. Club Africain, based in Tunis, is one of the most prestigious and historic clubs in North African football. The club will be hoping Khan’s addition bolsters their midfield as they prepare for the upcoming domestic season and potential continental competitions.

Khan, who has also represented Gambia at international level, is expected to bring versatility and grit to a Club Africain side looking to return to the summit of Tunisian football. The transfer also highlights Club Africain’s continued efforts to strengthen their squad with experienced talent from abroad.
