Talks between French club ESTAC Troyes and Union Saint-Gilloise over Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini remain at an early stage, Footy-Africa can report.
Troyes have opened negotiations with the Belgian club over a possible move for the 23-year-old attacker, but there is currently no agreement between the two clubs.
A source close to the situation confirmed that Troyes have made the first move, although it remains unclear whether the discussions will lead to a transfer.
βTalks are at an early stage. Troyes have opened negotiations, but whether they will lead to an agreement remains to be seen,β the source told Footy-Africa.
Fuseini joined Union from Austrian side Sturm Graz in 2024 for around β¬2 million after previously spending time on loan at Danish club Randers.
The Ghanaian has since developed into an important player for Union and has made a strong start to the new season.
He provided an assist in the Belgian Super Cup against Club Brugge and was also involved in another decisive action during the league game against Westerlo.
Fuseini has also made an impact in Europe, scoring against BodΓΈ/Glimt in the second leg of Union’s Champions League qualifying tie. His goal, however, was not enough to prevent the Belgian side from being eliminated.
The forward has earned two senior caps for Ghana and has scored once for the Black Stars.
For now, Troyes’ interest remains at the negotiation stage, with further discussions expected before any decision is made on Fuseini’s future.
