The German-born Gambian attacker Nuha Jatta has signed a deal with VfB Stuttgart’s U21 team, the club officially announced.

The 19-year old finished his spell with RB Leipzig in Germany, having spent last season with Italian first division club FC Turin’s U20 team.

“Nuha will strengthen our right offensive side. He is a persistently fast, very competitive player with high development potential, who has already gained international football experience. We are pleased that Nuha has decided to join VfB and will soon enrich our team in terms of sport and companionship,“ the VfB Stuttgart’s U21 team Director Stephan Hildebrandt stated.

At the age of 14, Jatta joined RB Leipzig moving from his hometown club VFL Osnabrück and went through all the junior teams up to the first team. On May 18, 2024 he made his Bundesliga debut in the away game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jatta has also been called up for the U18 and U19 German national teams.
