The summer transfer window is heating up, and while some deals have already gone through, several high-profile African stars are still figuring out their next moves. From big-money Saudi offers to Premier League exits and La Liga interest, here are the top 3 transfer stories as per Footy-Africa team.

Victor Osimhen – Al Hilal or Stay in Europe?

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remains the most high-profile African name on the market, but his next club is still undecided. Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have reportedly made a third and final salary offer of €40 million per year, plus add-ons, and are willing to meet Napoli’s asking price of €70–75 million.

However, Osimhen has yet to give the green light. He’s currently back in Nigeria considering his options, with Galatasaray and unnamed European clubs still in the picture.

Why it matters: A final decision is expected in the next few days, especially with Al Hilal eyeing him for the Club World Cup. His choice could shake up the entire summer window.

Mohammed Kudus – Premier League Exit on the Cards?

West Ham star Mohammed Kudus is on the radar of both Chelsea and Arsenal, with Chelsea reportedly offering a player-plus-cash deal to bring the Ghanaian to Stamford Bridge. Arsenal have also shown serious interest, valuing him at around €55–60 million — far below his €100 million release clause.

West Ham are open to a sale, but no agreement has been reached yet. Kudus is believed to favour staying in the Premier League, but a move abroad hasn’t been ruled out.

Why it matters: Kudus is one of Africa’s most valuable young talents. Expect developments soon as Chelsea and Arsenal consider their next moves.

Thomas Partey – Free Transfer or Arsenal Renewal?

Thomas Partey is heading into the final stretch of his Arsenal contract, and while the club is open to renewal, talks have stalled. Barcelona are in advanced discussions for a free transfer, with Atlético Madrid and clubs from Saudi Arabia also circling.

The Ghanaian midfielder is weighing his options, and next week could bring clarity.

Why it matters: If Arsenal don’t act fast, they risk losing Partey on a free. A decision could come by the end of next week as pre-season preparations begin.
