Spanish Segunda (La Liga 2) outfit SD Huesca have entered negotiations with Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu over a possible deal in the summer transfer window, Footy-Africa sources have exclusively learned.
Huesca have tabled a three-year offer to the 29-year-old versatile attacker, who can play on both the right and left wings. Notably, Fosu will become a free agent on June 30, when his contract with English League One side Northampton Town FC expires.
In an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa, a source at Fosuβs representing agency, Elite Project Group Limited, revealed that the Spanish club has inquired about the playerβs personal demands, and a move is likely to materialize in the coming days.
βThey [Fosuβs camp and Huesca] have been in contact over the last few days, and things are looking positive, with the player accepting the three-year offer. All that remains is agreeing on the financial terms, including signing-on fees and salary. Huesca are particularly drawn to his leadership, versatility, and work rate,β the source told Footy-Africa.
Fosu, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at β¬600,000, has made 37 appearances this season across all competitions. Since joining the club in the 2023/24 campaign, he has played 56 games. Previously, he featured for Stoke City, Brentford, Oxford United, Charlton Athletic, Colchester United, and Reading.
Internationally, Fosu made his debut for Ghanaβs senior national team, the Black Stars, in 2020, and has since earned four competitive caps. Earlier in his career, he also represented England at U18 level before switching allegiance to Ghana.
