French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have not received any official offers for Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu, despite growing speculation linking him with a move away from the Principality, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Reports in France and Greece have heavily tied the 25-year-old to Olympiacos, while Crystal Palace are also believed to be monitoring his situation. However, club insiders maintain that no concrete proposal has arrived on the table, with Salisu still regarded as part of Adi Hütter’s plans heading into the new campaign.
Exclusively speaking to Footy-Africa, a source at Salisu’s representatives at CAA Steller, however, has poured cold water on suggestions that a move is imminent.
In a statement, his management team said: “At this stage, there hasn’t been a formal bid for Mohammed (Salisu). There has been interest expressed by several clubs, including Olympiacos and Crystal Palace, but nothing has been presented officially. Mohammed remains focused on working hard in Monaco, and any future decisions will be made in consultation with the club.”
Salisu’s time at Monaco has been a mixed bag since his switch from Southampton in 2023. His debut year was disrupted by injuries, and although he managed a run of games last season, the Ghana international eventually found himself playing second fiddle. The winter arrival of Eric Dier has only intensified the competition for places, limiting his opportunities further.
With 37 appearances, three goals and an assist to his name since joining Monaco, the left-footed defender remains a valuable squad option. Still, his quest for consistent minutes has fuelled whispers of a possible exit before the transfer window slams shut.

For now, Salisu continues training with Monaco, while the market speculation swirls. Whether interest solidifies into a genuine bid remains to be seen in the coming days.
