Rising Gambian talent Pa Assan Corr has taken the next big step in his professional football journey, officially completing a permanent transfer to Slovakian top-tier side DAC 1904. The 19-year-old forward joins from Estonian club Paide Linnameeskond, signing a contract that will keep him in Dunajská Streda until the summer of 2029.

The move marks a significant milestone for Corr, who impressed during his short but impactful stint in Estonia. In just six months, he racked up 15 goals across 27 appearances for both Paide’s senior and B teams, drawing attention with his sharp instincts and growing maturity on the pitch.

“I’m really excited! It’s a great step for my career and to develop as a football player,” Corr told exclusively Footy-Africa after signing. “DAC is an ambitious club and well known for developing players.”

DAC 1904, a consistent top-three contender in the Niké Liga, has a strong reputation for nurturing young talent and offering a competitive platform. Corr cited the club’s vision and status as key reasons behind the move.

“I signed for four years and would like to achieve more great successes here. DAC is one of the dominant clubs in Slovakia, regularly finishing in a medal position,” he added.

Reflecting on his rapid progression, Corr opened up about the challenges of adapting to European football. Arriving in Estonia from the Gambian league, he initially found the transition difficult.

“I first struggled a little bit when I arrived in Estonia because it was a different level compared to the Gambian league,” he admitted. “I struggled to play at first, but I kept learning and growing. I waited for my time, and that’s where everything started.”

Known for his pace, movement off the ball, and an eye for goal, Corr is expected to add depth and energy to DAC’s attacking options as they look to challenge for the league title and make strides in European competitions.

With a long-term contract and a clear development pathway ahead, Pa Assan Corr’s move to DAC 1904 represents not just a personal achievement but a promising chapter in a career that continues to rise through the European football ranks.
