Major League Soccer side Philadelphia Union are on the verge of completing the signing of highly-rated Ghanaian forward Ezekiel Alladoh, beating off strong competition from several Belgian Pro League clubs, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The MLS outfit have moved swiftly and decisively to secure the 20-year-old, who has been one of Brommapojkarna’s standout performers in the ongoing Allsvenskan campaign. Alladoh, formerly of Accra Lions, has been monitored closely across Europe, with Club Brugge, Cercle Brugge, and Westerlo all previously registering firm interest in the explosive attacker.
Apparently, Brommapojkarna have already agreed to sell the Ghana U-20 star in what is understood to be a record outgoing transfer from the Swedish top division to Major League Soccer. Alladoh is expected to officially join the Philadelphia side at the conclusion of the Swedish season, setting the stage for his next major leap in professional football.
A source close to Alladoh’s management agency, S&E, confirmed to Footy-Africa that talks are at an advanced stage.
“Everything is moving in the right direction. Philadelphia Union presented the most convincing long-term project, and Ezekiel is very excited. Both clubs are finalising the last administrative details. As it stands, the expectation is that he will join Philadelphia as soon as the season in Sweden wraps up,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.
The young forward has featured 29 times in all competitions this term, scoring seven goals and earning widespread praise for his pace, sharp movement, and maturity on the ball. Many scouts and analysts have already tipped him to become one of Ghana’s next big international prospects.
Alladoh’s imminent switch marks a significant milestone in his rapidly rising career, and Philadelphia fans may soon have a new Ghanaian star to rally behind at Subaru Park.
