Bournemouth vs Chelsea Match Preview

Bournemouth head into the clash still searching for their first win in five matches, having seen their early-season momentum dip in recent weeks. Despite staying in the top four at some point in the season, their loss of form has seen them drop out of the top 10.

The Bees host Everton on Tuesday, before the clash against the Blues on Saturday, knowing a victory in both matches could move them back into an European position.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are one of the most in-form sides in the league and recently recorded an impressive 1-1 draw against league leaders Arsenal, despite playing over 50 minutes with a man down.

They also face relegation-threatened Leeds United in midweek, before the crucial clash against the Bees next weekend. The Blues are third on the league standings with 24 points and are only six points off top spot.

Head-to-Head Record (Last five meetings)

  • 14.01.2025 – Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth
  • 15.09.2024 – Bournemouth 0-1 Chelsea
  • 19.05.2024 – Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth
  • 17.09.2023 – Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea
  • 06.05.2023 – Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea

Chelsea have edged this clash in recent meetings and have not lost to Bournemouth in any of their last eight matches in all competitions.

The Blues have also won five of the last seven between both sides, including a 1-0 win in their last visit.

Recent Form: Bournemouth

Bournemouth have suffered a dip in form in the past few weeks and are winless in their last matches, losing three times and recording a lone draw.

However, the Bees have a solid home record this season and have won three of their five league matches so far at the Vitality Stadium.

Recent Form: Chelsea

Chelsea have been impressive in recent matches and are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

The Blues have won three of their last four games in the league and have only lost once on the road in the EPL this season, a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in September.

Player to Watch: Antoine Semenyo

The Ghanaian winger has been in superb form this season and is highly expected to seal a move to one of the title contenders in January.

Antoine Semenyo’s electric pace and shooting ability makes him a major threat against the Blues, who will find it very tasking to contain him.
