Gambian forward Musa Juwara has officially completed a sensational move to Polish top-flight club Pogoń Szczecin from Danish side Vejle Boldklub, in what has been confirmed as the biggest transfer in the history of the Polish club.

The deal, which shatters both financial and salary records for Pogoń Szczecin, sees the 22-year-old become the club’s highest-paid player ever. His agent, Denholm Fraser, exclusively for Footy-Africa confirmed the magnitude of the move, highlighting the club’s unprecedented investment in the talented striker.

“It is the biggest contract in the club’s history as he is their highest paid player. He is the most expensive player the club have ever bought in history,” Fraser said.

Juwara, who made headlines early in his career with a memorable goal for Bologna in Serie A, had interest from several clubs globally, including teams from Saudi Arabia. However, Fraser explained that the Polish side’s financial package and personal commitment from ownership were decisive in the player’s choice.

“Saudi Arabia came for him but they cannot pay the salary he get from Poland,” Fraser revealed. “Musa is having Premier League and top 5 league salary like big players. That’s why he cannot say no as his life and his family life will be changed.”

According to Fraser, the club’s Canadian owner played a personal role in securing Juwara’s signature, adding a human touch to the high-profile transfer.

“Almost to 80,000 euros per month, the owner is from Canada. He personally calls Musa to join and also promise him that he will bring his family all here from Gambia to Poland.”

Financially, the contract is reportedly life-changing for the young forward. Fraser shared that Juwara will be earning close to 7 million Gambian dalasi monthly — a significant sum that underscores the scale of his value to the Polish club.

“Musa is getting almost 7 million Gambia dalasi every month which is perfect for him,” the agent said.

Juwara’s move marks a major milestone for both his career and Pogoń Szczecin, as the club sets its sights on challenging for domestic honours and making a stronger impression in European competition. For Juwara, the transfer represents not only a step forward professionally but a new chapter in his personal life — one that promises both security and opportunity.
